This is a photograph of Uncle Harry, one of my great uncles. Uncle Harry was a lifelong farmer in Texas, born at the end of the 1800’s. Until he died at age 97, Uncle Harry stayed active on his land. His brother, my maternal grandfather, died when I was very young and Uncle Harry was for all practical purposes my “grandfather.” He taught me a lot and I still miss him. Photo by Andy Sharp.
