Pumpkin Season

Half the fun of Halloween is watching all the little tykes wandering through pumpkin patches in search of just the right one.   On a recent Saturday, I stopped by First United Methodist Church in Georgetown for a peek at their sea of orange delights.   Along came 19-month-old Brandon Hise, outfitted in his Oshkosh overalls, flannel shirt and red hair that almost matched the pumpkins!   Brandon’s mom and dad are church members who volunteer their time to help oversee the patch.  Brandon already had a couple of pumpkins at home, but you can never have too many pumpkins, right?   Money raised here helps raise funds for the church youth mission trips.   Grab them while you can.   This patch is open 7 days a week, including Halloween.
