A Perigee full moon

Okay, here’s my less than stellar effort to photograph the Perigee full moon on Saturday night.    The photo posted here is not what I was looking for, but since the  last Perigee full moon occurred way back in March 1993,  I decided to throw this one out there.   I’m guessing there are many much better images floating around out there, but here’s mine.   What I wanted, of course, was something to juxtapose the moon with to give it a sense of scale.    Despite a lot of advanced planning (see previous post on my sheepherder), I wasn’t in the right place for it to work.   Looking back, I think a sequence of the moon’s rise would’ve been much more effective.    If I’m around in 18 years, we’ll give it another shot.
