A very nice window

While photographing the 90th Annual Meeting of the Texas Daily Newspaper Association at Austin’s historic Driskill Hotel this week, I had a few minutes of down time in an otherwise very long day.    My last event before heading home was an evening awards dinner in the hotel’s Victorian Room where I  noticed the late day sun filtering through a mighty fine window looking out onto the intersection of Sixth and Brazos Streets.   It was good to see the light in an otherwise very dark dining room.
